This past weekend my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. It was a casual "staycation celebration". The weather was gorgeous and the budget was tight. We spent Saturday at local antique shops, a drive, and time on our roof-top deck. Dinner plans were at one of our favorite local spots. I wanted to be casual, yet still put together. I chose my jeans first - one of my favs - a jean from White House Black Market - (similar https://www.whitehouseblackmarket.com/store/product/saint-honore-distressed-slim-jeans/570163600?color=510&catId=cat210023&fromSearch=true&scPos=2-4405-4330). The jean has a modern cut with the trend-right addition of the distressing on the front.
Daytime (Right)
The jeans, a tshirt from Target, add a cardigan (this one is from Loft and I LOVE it). I paired this look with my new favorite sandals that I have already posted about (Clarks). I kept the jewelry very simple to go along with the look. I was put together but casual and ready for a day of fun.
Evening (left)
After a day of fun, shopping, sushi, and relaxing all I had to do to get ready for dinner was change out my top to dressy tank I love (it's from Hazel and I have it for years) which I topped with the same cardigan from the day. I changed my necklace and earrings - the top has jeweled detailing all around the top so a delicate necklace was perfect. I added a strappy sandal to "dress it up" casual style (if that makes sense) and I was ready.
I love the versatility of simply changing part of one outfit to make two great outfits. I could just as easily of changed the bottoms out for the evening to perhaps a white jean and achieved the same thing. If we were out of town, this versatility is a necessity for packing :) You should have the same flexibility in your closet!
