I don't know about you but it's almost the end of January and I am sick of winter here in West Michigan ...well, more specifically, sick of my winter closet. Which is unusual for me because winter is one of my favorite seasons to dress for. I am digging in my closet to "reinvent" some favorites as well as add a pop of spring to my winter outfits. One thing I love is the idea of "wearing now and later". You're probably thinking "Of course, wear now and later, we all wear our clothes more than once." But what I mean is ...look towards the next season, so Spring, choose something from your spring closet and make it work for now, the dead middle of winter. It's pretty simple to accomplish a "Wear Now and Later" outfit and it will give you a spark to get through the rest of winter, regardless of where you are. (I know I am not only the one who feels this way, come on!)
Here is a great example: pair a dress you would wear in the spring with flats, the same dress you might wear with no tights and low booties or boots, but instead wear the dress with leggings, jeggings, or skinny jeans. You may need to layer with a long cardigan but regardless, you have a "new" outfit and a renewed sense of warmer days ahead :)
I hope this inspires you to look in your closet, pull a spring dress, wear it now and perhaps have a new bounce in your step as you think of warmer days ahead.
